Nikolaj Busk Jakobsen bounces back for 2018

Nikolaj Busk Jakobsen’s Berwick Bandits debut dramatically ended in pain and tears in 2017, crashing out heavily in that very first match, but his all-action, Devil-may-care attitude was what the Shielfield Park fans wanted to see and that's exactly why the  forward-thinking Bandits management team have made the move to bring the exciting Dane back to the Borders for the 2018 season.

Now fully recovered from surgery after his 2017 season-ending shoulder injury, Nikolaj comes into an already very solid-looking Bandits side joining Aaron Summers, Kevin Doolan, David Howe and Jye Etheridge as another rider who has real potential to up his starting average in a thrilling Berwick side.

Bandits' co-promoter Scott Courtney is a very satisfied man with how the close-season is developing, saying: “I’m super happy to welcome "NBJ" back to Berwick and we’re starting on an even keel this time!

"Nikolaj came into the side midway through last season and was so eager to impress, unfortunately it all went drastically wrong and he left with a severe shoulder injury.

"He’s had his operation and is fully committed to coming back and showing everyone at Berwick exactly what he’s capable of and what we mostly missed last year. I’m happy with the way the team is shaping up and I feel we will be a match for anyone this coming season."
