Bandits welcome KLS as 2018 title sponsors
The management of the Berwick Bandits have announced with great pleasure that the club have agreed terms with a new title sponsor who will be backing the Bandits throughout the 2018 season.
KLS Worldwide Speedway Supply of Denmark will be supporting Berwick Bandits Speedway Club in 2018 with Mike Hope of Wooler Ltd. continuing their role as the “powered by” backers.
The KLS Bandits (Powered by Mike Hope of Wooler) co-promoter, Scott Courtney said: "I am delighted to announce the news that we will be entering the 2018 season as the KLS Bandits powered by Mike Hope of Wooler.
"KLS are a Danish-based Speedway products manufacturer and worldwide distributor. Their reputation in the Speedway world speaks for itself and I am very excited about introducing the KLS brand as our title sponsor!
"KLS is run by former rider Kristian Lund and his family and their products and service work fantastically within our sport internationally and we proudly recommend using KLS for all Speedway equipment.
"KLS will also be proudly displayed as title sponsor of our newly branded youth system, with the side formerly known as the Border Raiders now to be known as the KLS Bandits Academy.
"We encourage all Speedway riders at all levels of the sport to visit www.klsupport.dk for all of your Speedway needs for the 2018 season.
“I’m also thrilled to welcome back Mike Hope of Wooler Ltd. as our “powered by” sponsor.
"The Hope family are all synonymous with the club and their support is fantastic.
"Mike Hope of Wooler Ltd. really is your one stop shop for all things motorised! Their new showroom is full of state of the art machinery with everything from bikes and quads to Stihl saws and all gardening machinery not to mention new and used cars and a fully functional garage. Their support is invaluable and Mike and Yvette are on hand for help and advice when required.
"Jamie is doing a tremendous job with the garage and you never know, we might tempt him to trade his love of racing on four wheels to two this season and get him on a bike at Duns!
“I must add a very special thanks to Steve and Joanne from Olympus Marquees for their fantastic support as title sponsor in 2016 and 2017.
"Not only were Olympus title sponsors, their help and assistance with track covers will go down within the history of the sport as one of the most progressive innovations ever!
"As with a lot of Bandits' ideas over the last few seasons, it started with myself and Steve chatting and within a few hours we done a dry run of covering the track on a Thursday night and before we knew it we had saved no less than eight matches in two seasons!
“I’m very much looking forward to getting the show on the road now and I must emphasise that without our fantastic sponsors and the continued support of the Berwick fans, the club would never survive.
"Rest assured it’s been literally non stop for us all behind the scenes, working hard to do our very best for Berwick Speedway and we are edging closer to the opening night of the season.
"On Saturday 31st of March we open the doors to our oldest rivals, the Newcastle Diamonds and I cant wait!”
