Bandits go for second win over Panthers

The Olympus Marquees Berwick Bandits powered by Mike Hope of Wooler go for a second victory over the Peterborough Panthers this season against the side they had failed to defeat for the previous 18 seasons when the side arrives in their second of three northern tour fixtures.

Berwick's co-owner Scott Courtney said: "Its a bit disappointing that Harris won't be gracing our track on Saturday , but they are allowed a guest and have booked a tough replacement for the night as Newcastle's Steve Worrall stands in as Peterborough's number one, and we've all seen how well he can ride our patch this season a number of times already.

"They also have Ulrich Ostergaard in their line-up and he is no slouch either so we need to be hot on our game to repeat the win we took over them earlier in the season, and that was the first time we'd beaten the Panthers in over 18 seasons, so we want to add to that and not go back to form that is for sure, but we are without our new-boy Nikolaj Busk Jakobsen, who's out for the season now after a crash two weeks ago on his debut, and we can only use rider-replacement now as it's outside the transfer window.

"Nick Morris leads from the top again and David Howe has really got his career back on track with an enthusiasm of a teenager again which can only add points by the fistful to out total on Saturday night."

The SGB Championship match starts as ever at 7.00pm.
