Berwick's local whizz kid, Leon Flint is on his way to France to participate in the all new French Speedway League! 

the ever-eager Leon joins our very own Dimitri Berge in the Marmande team for the first match of the season this weekend and it sure to pick up invaluable experience from his exploits over the English Channel which is sure to benefit his racing back on home turf later in the season.

BBSC hit the road to the Ben Fund!

The Berwick Bandits Supporters Club are getting their travel arrangements going nice and early in the 2017 season, and will be running a bus to Glasgow to support the boys in the Black and Gold who will be participating in this years Ben Fund Bonanza.

The date is Sunday March 12th with Skipper and testimonial man, Kevin Doolan, Lewis Bridger and Claus Vissing being the trio of Bandits to back in the 20 heat - one semi and a Grand Finale competition.

The price per seat is £15 for none supporters club members and £10 for members. 

CAPTAIN KEV'S BIG DAY OUT

With the 2017 Speedway season rapidly approaching, Scott Courtney, co-promoter of the Olympus Marquees Berwick Bandits (Powered by Mike Hope Wooler) is looking towards mid-summer when the club get the chance to honour one of the most popular Bandits of them all.

Courtney explained: "Not everyone has the right to call themselves a "Bandits' Legend", but our long serving skipper Kev Doolan most certainly does, and at the height of summer, on the evening of Saturday August the 5th he will celebrate his well deserved testimonial with us all at Shielfield Park!

Farewell Dick!

As the winter of great change continues at the Olympus Marquees Berwick Bandits (Powered by Mike Hope Wooler), the new managerial team have confirmed that the season opening "50th Season Spectacular" meeting will be the last opportunity to witness a master at work!

Having taken up announcing duties at Berwick Speedway back in 1972, Dick Barrie has made the decision to hand over the microphone and step into retirement from meeting presentation duties after the massive season's opener on March 18th.

As the 2017 season swiftly approaches for the Olympus Marquees Berwick Bandits (Powered by Mike Hope Wooler) the new management have many new varied and exciting things to unveil.

Ben Fund Bandits

Three of your 2017 Berwick Bandits will take their place in the season opening Ben Fund Bonanza at the Peugeot Ashfield Stadium, Glasgow, on Sunday 12th of March @ 2pm.
This is a great opportunity to see our skipper Kevin Doolan, our new No.1 Lewis Bridger and the ultra popular Claus Vissing cut their first competitive laps of the 2017 season.

Although on-track silverware was hard to come by for speedway’s Olympus Marquees Bandits in 2016, the club proudly lead the way in other very, very significant areas.

50th Season Spectacular

We can now confirm that our 2017 season will get underway at Shielfield Park on Saturday 18th March!
We will be kicking things off with the 50th Season Spectacular individual event!

The Newcastle Diamonds will be in town in challenge match action on 25th March with the return leg the following day at Brough Park.

Press and Practice will be held on Saturday 11th March followed by a Season Launch Party in the Black and Gold immediately afterwards.
More details will be confirmed in the coming weeks.

Team News

Last week the club were unfortunately faced with the news that Luke Chessell has decided to take a break from the sport and has sighted financial strain and a general disillusionment with the sport as his reasons.
